## SERA.8030 Termination of control

A [controlled flight](https://avioverse.aero/glossary/easa/controlled-flight) shall, except when landing at a [controlled aerodrome](https://avioverse.aero/glossary/easa/controlled-aerodrome), advise the appropriate ATC unit as soon as it ceases to be subject to [air traffic control service](https://avioverse.aero/glossary/easa/air-traffic-control-service).
