# 4.2.4 Service provision in multiple mode of operation

Formal title · GM to Regulation (EU) 2017/373 · EAR revision 26 Jan 2026

IR Implementing rule

## 4.2.4 Service provision in multiple mode of operation

Regarding the type of ATS provision, what has been validated for [multiple mode of operation](https://avioverse.aero/glossary/easa/multiple-mode-of-operation) is the combination of aerodromes where the same service type is provided (e.g. ATC+ATC or AFIS+AFIS). Hence, no known experience exists, and no related recommendations can be made at this point regarding mixed ATC and AFIS in multiple mode of operation.
