## GM1 ADR-DSN.D.310 Taxiway Strip

A [taxiway strip](https://avioverse.aero/glossary/easa/taxiway-strip) should be so prepared or constructed as to minimise hazards arising from differences in load bearing capacity to aeroplanes which the [taxiway](https://avioverse.aero/glossary/easa/taxiway) is intended to serve in the event of an [aeroplane](https://avioverse.aero/glossary/easa/aeroplane) accidentally running off the taxiway.

Guidance on characteristics of taxiway strips is given in ICAO Doc 9157, [Aerodrome](https://avioverse.aero/glossary/easa/aerodrome) Design Manual, Part 2, Taxiways, Aprons and Holding Bays.
