## GM1 ADR-DSN.D.280 Transverse slopes on taxiways

The slopes on a [taxiway](https://avioverse.aero/glossary/easa/taxiway) are intended to prevent the accumulation of water (or possible fluid contaminant) on the surface and to facilitate rapid drainage of surface water (or possible fluid contaminant). Slopes should be so designed as to minimise impact on [aircraft](https://avioverse.aero/glossary/easa/aircraft) and so not to hamper the operation of aircraft.
